Lung cancer is the number one cause of cancer-related death in the United States. Dr. Perret reviews the criteria for lung cancer screenings, the current recommendations and the Mayo Clinic calculator for evaluating the risk of malignancy. He discusses three new technologies in detail—endobronchial ultrasound, radial probe ultrasound and electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy.
